Move In Day is officially tomorrow. Yikes! It's gonna be hectic! But I'm really excited for students to come back to campus and bring their awesome energy!
I start classes next week, which is both exciting and scary. I'm really nervous about classes. I think I'm nervous mostly because I'm expecting a lot from myself. I did pretty well in classes for undergrad, so I'm hoping to do better in grad school. Also, secretly, I'm hoping to get a 4.0. I've never gotten a 4.0 before (EVER.) So it's on my bucket list to do it. Boom. Gotta happen.
On top of that, I'm gonna get real serious right now. I just got a call from my doctor that my ANA blood test came back positive. Which means that I probably have an autoimmune disease. No fun. So I need to get another test tomorrow and find out what it is. Ugh. My life.
So we'll see what happens.
Until next time!
I'm a white woman and I have a lot of things in my mind. And I'm privileged, so I want to point that out. Enjoy the ramblings of my messed up mind.

My First Day on the Job
So I just finished my first day as the Greek Life & Leadership Coordinator. Woo. I am tiiiiiired.
I met so many people today! I can already tell that remembering names is going to be my downfall, so I'm going to have to work harder on that. The woman whose desk is next to mine is in the cohort ahead of me in the SAHE program, so it'll be nice to be able to ask her questions and get her help. People seem so nice, so yay! I like nice people!
I began my day at 8:30 and set up my desk. I made sure that I put my bright pink nameplate on my desk, you know, to spruce it up. I put all my stuff in a drawer, cleaned my desk, and sat down. I did a lot of that today. Just trying to get my barrings. I got a lot of old Greek Life documents, which was cool. I was able to read a Phoenix Magazine (My sorority's magazine) from 2003. It was really neat to see my chapter mentioned in there.
I met with the Interim Director of Res. Life and he gave me a few assignments. RHA sounds like they are going to grow a lot in the next few years, so I am so excited to help and watch them grow! I also get to help completely redo RA training, so what?! Pumped!
My day begins tomorrow at 8am, so I'm going to have to get used to that.
Now onto the most important part of any day, what you wear! I work my mint sweater (which was funny because the woman I worked with was also wearing one too! Twinsies!) a black pencil skirt, and nude tights. It was a simple outfit, so I think I'll have to spruce up my wardrobe when I get some moolah.
